Noorden Productions
Stefan Van Norden is a long-time gardener, producer of two films, and podcaster, from Hanover, New Hampshire. His two films, Hand of Brick (2013) and Negotiating with Nature (2017), are both inspired by the realization that nature is not a place one goes to, but rather a place one is already a part of- that we are nature.
Stefan’s interest in further engaging a wider audience with that same message led him to create the podcast Nature Revisited. A podcast which recently celebrated its eighth season, with the publication of its 164th episode.
Nature Revisited has featured conversations with an impressive list of individuals, including Doug Tallamy, Richard Louv, Amy Tan and Bill McKibben from the horticultural world and beyond, discussing their unique connections with nature.

Pine Barrens, while historically shunned for their low conventional agricultural value, are hotspots of biodiversity which boast incredible beauty and ecosystem services. Located in select spots on the Atlantic coastline, one can observe incredibly unique and resilient plant systems that invite us to both marvel and look more closely. This talk will touch on the history of the ecosystem and examine exceptional plant populations of Pine Barrens, particularly those of New Jersey.
