Seeds Alive!
Tuesday, July 17 2012, 9:30am - 11:30am

A love of horticulture often begins with special experiences shared with a grandparent. Many lifelong gardeners refer to days spent exploring a grandparent’s garden, planting, watering, and snacking on peas, carrots or cherry tomatoes. Spend the morning with your favorite young person, exploring the mystery of seeds. We will begin with two dissections of sprouted seeds, explore the environmental factors needed for successful seed growth, and plant two containers of short season plants – one container of flowers for a parent gift, and one of quick maturing bush beans which will be ready in September.

Enrollment limited to 15 adults. Suggested for children aged 7-10.

This course is part of the True North Garden & Landscape Series.

RSVP here or call 781-433-6400.

Location: Mass Hort, 900 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482
