Saving Your Tender Plants

Featuring Donna Lane - principal of Lane Interiors & Gardens

Why compost those gorgeous tender plants you have grown all summer? There are ways to save many of these plants without bringing the entire plant indoors. Learn the proper way to store and save Dahlias, Cannas and other tender tubers and bulbs, as well as how to take successful cuttings and winter over many other plants.

Donna Lane, principal of Lane Interiors & Gardens, is a designer, lecturer, writer and garden consultant who has won many horticulture and design awards, Her interest in horticulture runs the gamut from miniature rock garden plants to landscapes, containers, vegetables, houseplants and everything in between. She is past president of the Rhode Island Dahlia Society and Norwood Evening Garden Club, is an ADS Certified Dahlia Judge, on the board of the Garden Club Federation of MA, former board member of the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association, a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, New England Rock Garden Society, New England Hosta Society, American Dahlia Society, the Garden Writers’ Association of America and several other gardening organizations. She is the author of numerous gardening and design articles including a weekly column entitled “The Addicted Gardener.” Donna lectures to garden clubs, horticultural societies and civic organizations on many topics, including dahlias, garden design, edible gardening, houseplants and container gardening.

Presentations will begin at 7pm and go until all questions are answered. The classes are priced at $12 for members and $15 for non-members unless otherwise indicated. Registration is encouraged. You can register here or you may pay at the class.
