Plans Falling Into Place E-mail
Friday, 18 April 2008

The Greenway plans are falling into place. Work will begin on Friday, April 25th with an extensive effort to complete the planting beds and install many of the larger trees and shrubs. A group of landscape professionals will undertake these tasks due to the heavy, specialized equipment required for completion.

Once this initial effort is completed, groups of 10-15 volunteers will install the remaining perennials during the month of May followed by some annual plantings in early June.

As expected, we will have a ‘last minute scramble’ to complete the plant requirements needed for the project. We have reached the point in the project where the details become critical and specific plans are being developed to insure the success of the project.

All in all, the project is coming together and the excitement of actually putting plants in the ground will begin in a few short days!
