Project Learning Tree (PLT) is a highly effective and engaging curriculum for your classrooms or after-school settings. Project Learning Tree is a Pre-K through 8 curriculum providing students and educators a window into the environment. This classroom-friendly, environmental education curriculum emphasizes comprehensive, hands-on, interdisciplinary learning about land, air, and water systems. Upon completing the training, you will receive a certificate of completion and the Project Learning Tree Activity Guide. PDPs are available to classroom teachers.

Fee: $25 members/$30 nonmembers

Get your students growing! Come join us for a day of training for the nationally accredited Junior Master Gardener Program. MHS has joined forces with Texas Cooperative Extension from the Texas A&M University System and other great organizations including AmeriCorps, National Wildlife Federation, Learn & Serve America, Schools to Careers, Master Gardener Associations, and the Children’s Better Health Institute to bring this unique program to teachers throughout the state. Teachers will leave with a copy of the curriculum of their choice and PDP certificates for participation. The level one program is designed for ages 6-11 and a new level two middle school-focused program will also be offered. The Junior Master Gardener Program mission “is to grow good kids by igniting a passion for learning, success and service through a unique gardening education!”
